Artists at Courtyard Studios Celebrate Fourth Anniversary Tucked behind the Ampthill Antiques Emporium, in the Courtyard Studios, there is a hive of activity as 6 x artists create their ‘Works of Art’ in variety of styles using a magnitude of colour. On Saturday May 1 st , between 11am and 4pm, the Courtyard Studios are holding an ‘Open Day’ to celebrate their fourth anniversary, the arrival of three new artists into their group and the start of a new initiative to hire their ‘works of art’ out to businesses. The artists, Stephanie Sandars, Marilyn Comparetto, Sue Melville, Maxine Owen, Maggi Stannard and Isla Woiwod, use the studios to produce contemporary works for exhibiting around the UK. Courtyard Studios makes visitors welcome giving them the opportunity to hire, buy, commission or simply watch the artists at work. During the ‘Open Day’ children will be given a unique opportunity for ‘a hands on’ experience to draw alongside the artists, visitors will be able to purchase original greetings cards, produced by the Courtyard artists, for a reduced price, and there will be a prize draw with the lucky winner walking away with a bottle of champagne.
